Meet our horses
Meet the horses that call End of the Trail Sanctuary home. They will live out the rest of their lives here. We never adopt out our horses. This farm will be their forever home.

Sicily was bred to be a competitive sporthorse. At age two, he was diagnosed with a subchondral bone cyst in his left hind pastern. Because he may not remain sound and pain-free on that leg, Sicily will spend the rest of his life as a beloved pasture companion, cared for as long as he can navigate his pasture comfortably.
Sadie is a rescue from a neglect case picked up by a local Sheriff's Office. She had been neglected and left in a field for six years before she was found. She has found her safe haven here at End of the Trail Sanctuary, where she will spend the rest of her life loved and cared for.
Buttons came to the sanctuary alongside Sadie — a bonded pair who arrived together. This sweet pony's hooves had been severely neglected, but with proper hoof care and plenty of patience, he is making very good progress. Buttons and Sadie will spend the rest of their days together here, right where they belong.
Red is a 25+ year old Quarter Horse gelding who was listed on a Facebook group for a very low sum of money — a price that made it clear he would most likely end up with a kill buyer. The Sanctuary made the decision to purchase him outright and bring him home. Red has earned a peaceful, safe place to rest, and that is exactly what he will have here for the rest of his days.
